I’m hoping to spur myself to stop fretting over the small stuff with this story and get it out there for the readers to enjoy. This is easier said than done. I’m currently freaking out about my self-imposed deadline as we speak (and have been since I leaked the cover). But I can do this.
We writers always want our “babies” to go out in the world perfectly dressed, hair combed neatly, and fresh and clean. But sometimes we agonize way too much over how that happens, and we lose the fact that we made “babies”! Little bundles of potential joy for all who encounter them. Today if you’re experiencing writer’s anxiety, just think about and congratulate yourself for creating something with the potential for shared wonder and wisdom.
