AUTHORS

Nerdy Romantics Podcast Book reviews

Right now, I’m doing 4 types of episodes:

  1. Interview with author (haven’t done one of these yet)
  2. Review in a book chat (episode 5 is a good example)
  3. My own personal review–usually tied to a Nerdy Romantics theme/topic or a personal theme/topic (Episode 2 is a good example)
  4. Trope listicle (haven’t released one of these yet, but that’s next up in a couple of months.)

To be a part of the podcast: Fill out the contact request form below with your name, email, the book’s info, dates of release or marketing campaign dates you want the podcast episode to release, and what type of episode you’re hoping to do. Ultimately I decide on the type of episode and release date, but it’s good to know what an author is envisioning if they’re requesting a review. **Please know that I’m currently scheduled about 3-4 months out.

All guests sign a guest release prior to recording any episodes.

ARC formats: Kindle eBook copies are great for me, but I am okay with paper copies as well. For book chats, my book chat friends like to be able to get selections from KU if they can, so they don’t have to pay a lot. They are just my friends reading because they want to read and talk about it, so they are purchasing on their own.

For my newsletter/blog reviews (aka The “Friday Fun Reviews” on my site)

For a review: Again, fill out the contact request form below with all the same stuff above: your name, email, the book’s info, dates of release or marketing campaign dates . If I choose to review, I will request an ARC (see “Arc formats” above.) I read and review and decide if I want to do a Friday Fun Review on a book, which means it’s usually 4 stars or more. I don’t publish reviews 2 stars or under for someone who’s requested a review from me. Any Friday Fun Reviews will also be posted on Goodreads–they are really a Goodreads review that I post to my blog and sent to my Nerdy Romantics Newsletter subscribers (and advertised on social media). To see examples, go to ymnelson.com/tag/book-reviews/

I am also a contributor for BookTrib.com

They have their own process for submission. But if you do submit your ARC for review on BookTrib, request that I review your book, and they will route it to me. I do not get paid.
